Let’s face it, war is seldom a surprise. There is usually some dispute or sign of conflict leading up to war. Warring parties seldom go to war without a conviction that the war is necessary. This means that organizations need to take a closer look at some of the overt and covert conflicts and disputes taking place at work, such as: bullying, harassment, verbal threats, rumours, gossip, isolation, defamation, abuse of authority, unfair working conditions and over-work. These issues are often at the root of more grievous and deadly acts of violence. Failing to address these issues in the workplace is akin to fail the workforce and to put everyone in your organization at risk.
Declaring Armistice Day at work is geared to focus attention on the increasing rates of violence in the workplace and respond to acts of war such as sexual, physical and verbal assaults, and yes, cases of murder, increasingly on the rise at work.
Sign-up today and begin the process of change at work. Listen to our Blog Talk Radio show here and plan to call in or join the live chat every Tuesday between 10:00 am and 11:30 am (CST) Call Joyce Odidison to discuss how an Armistice Day package can benefit your organization.
